ParenThing is a co-parenting platform designed to help separated and divorced parents communicate more calmly, manage shared responsibilities, and put their children's wellbeing first. It is operated by Cyops Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland, with its registered office at Friarstown, Bohernabreena, Tallaght, Dublin, D24 R292 (company number 737339). ParenThing is a trading name of Cyops Limited.
ParenThing is live. Features, pricing and availability may change from time to time as the service develops.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a ParenThing account. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
ParenThing is intended for use by parents, co-parents, guardians and professional advisers (such as mediators, solicitors and family therapists) who are involved in the care of children. Use of the platform for any other purpose is not permitted.
To use ParenThing you must create an account with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share your password with anyone.
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when registering and to keep that information up to date. We may suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe false or misleading information has been provided.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at support@parenthing.ie. We will not be liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account if you have not taken reasonable precautions.
Each individual should maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or suspensions is not permitted.
ParenThing is built to reduce conflict between co-parents. You agree to use it in the spirit in which it was designed. Specifically, you agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without prior notice where the breach is serious.
You retain ownership of all content you submit to ParenThing: messages, documents, photos, notes and other material ("your content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the content you submit. Do not upload content that infringes a third party's copyright, contains personal data of a third party without their consent, or is otherwise unlawful.
ParenThing may generate timestamped records and export features intended to support use in mediation or legal proceedings. While we take care to ensure records are accurate, we make no warranty as to their admissibility or legal standing in any particular jurisdiction. You should obtain independent legal advice before relying on ParenThing records in any legal proceedings.
If you invite a mediator, solicitor, family therapist or other professional to your family space, you do so on the basis of your own informed consent and that of the other parent where required. Professionals granted access must:
ParenThing does not vet or endorse any professional using the platform. You are responsible for independently verifying the credentials and suitability of any professional you invite.
ParenThing offers a free plan and paid subscription options. Current pricing is shown in the app and may change from time to time; we will give notice of material changes in line with these terms.

We aim to keep ParenThing available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates or improvements that cause temporary unavailability, and we will endeavour to give reasonable notice where possible.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features of the service at any time. Where a change materially affects you, we will give you reasonable notice. If you do not wish to continue under changed terms, you may close your account.
All intellectual property in the ParenThing platform, including software, design, branding, text and graphics, belongs to Cyops Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, adapt, distribute or create derivative works from any part of it without our express written permission.
The ParenThing name and logo are trademarks of Cyops Limited. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
ParenThing is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, we exclude all implied warranties, representations or conditions, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
ParenThing is a communication and organisational tool. It is not a substitute for legal advice, mediation services, counselling or any other professional service. We strongly encourage you to seek independent legal or therapeutic advice for matters relating to custody, maintenance or family proceedings.
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish and EU law, Cyops Limited's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) €50.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such losses.
Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by Irish law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@parenthing.ie. On closure, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if you have not accessed your account for an extended period (we will give you reasonable notice before doing so).
Sections 5, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence within the EU.
If you have a complaint or concern, please contact us first at support@parenthing.ie and we will do our best to resolve it promptly and fairly.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you continue to use ParenThing after the effective date of any change, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the service and close your account.
